Dinner at Spice Central

After a long day of working hard, we went to a relaxing spot in the new Novotel Hotel in South bank to escape the hustle and bustle 😊

Menu:

What we had:

Starting off with a glass of sparkling 😉

Mushroom Dish

I absolutely love mushrooms for entrees. Something totally flavourful and light.

Black angus eye fillet tartare

Served with lavosh crackers, and not shareable 😂. Raw beef is my favorite. Crackers not even needed, just straight fork to mouth. The texture, and rich taste was a great way to kick start our evening.

Main: Rib Fillet

Ok usually the idea of sharing a main is silly. But when it's a fair slab of steak... Maybe I should share.

Cooked to rare, rubbed with smoked paprika and served with a side of chips. Nice tender cut of meat, with the bonus of added calamari and prawns (how to win me over 😍)

Drinks round 2:

Cosmopolitan & Pina Colata

It's funny how we ended up liking each others drink instead of our own 😂. I guess I'm always a fan of sweet over sour 😉.

Dessert:

Yep definitely not leaving without a sweet treat... Or in this case, two 😉

Chocolate Tart and Saffron Creme Brule.

The saffron bit lured me in so easily... Beautiful break through the surface. Sweet, creamy, and enjoyable til the end  😍.

With the tart... It may sound simple but it was executed so well. Nice crust, filled with bitter chocolate ♥️. And topped with, sweet luscious ice-cream.

 Summary

Really lovely venue, with polite staff and a great ambiance. Just such a large space with lovely music.
