Lunch at Blackfire

Escaping the crazy 36 degree Brisbane weather is always a pleasure.
Once Asana, now Black Fire now fills the dining area below Capri by Fraser in Brisbane to fill our stomach with delicious wonders.

Menu

But first, drink time.
Espresso going with a little bit of house sparkling
… as for me, I went with the more sweet approach, the Affogato. Yes it was only lunch time and starting a meal with a sweet may be frowned upon, but for me … combo of coffee and ice cream was divine.

Main:

For my main I went with the soft, potato pillow-y goodness of the daily pasta special… The Gnocchi. Small gnocchi balls, in a bowl of rich tomato sauce, swirled with delicious pesto. It was incredibly filling, and more than enough to hold me over til dinner.

The other main was (no surprise 😋) a juicy steak.
Cooked to a beautiful medium-rare, slightly chewy but desirable.
We felt after we left that the sultanas and almonds were forgotten on the dish, but the steak alone was satisfying enough.

Conclusion

This short trip to Blackfire was enjoyable, hopefully I will come back soon for a full meal :)
