Two months celebration at YX Mini Hot Pot

I had no idea what to expect…
Truth be told, I told her anywhere besides KBBQ or Hot Pot for dinner… but look where we ended up, and I’m glad we did.

So first thing they hand you, before you walk up the stairs is an order form for the soup base you want… So many choices.

Menus:

So.. if money was no problem we would’ve order one of everything and rolled home.
However as I am reminded I need to save for a house (and a library) so… we ordered respectively, but had so much delicious meat ❤.

First up, the INDIVIDUAL (big win for me) soups.

I went for the flavorful tomato and meaty oxtail for some added flavor goodness, where as Espresso went for the stock soup to enjoy the raw flavors :)

What We Ordered:

Details

  • Wagyu Chuck Tender Slices

  • Enoki Mushrooms

  • Tofu & Noodle Combo

  • Shallot Pancakes

  • Chicken Slices

  • Prawn Mash

  • Crab

Now these were quality ingredients… My favorite was the Wagyu Chuck Steak, so lean and so much flavor. First time dealing with prawn mash, and it was such a treat. Crab was cutely shaped in a claw shape. I may have had trouble with the potato noodles sticking… but they were incredible, I need to find them in more places.

Conclusion:

Price was more fair than some other new offerings around, and the area was very well kept.
Decorated with masks and moodily lit, it proved to be a nice evening spot to relax.

So much fun and experimenting :)
It was hot and steamy, and just a great social night out
Food was great, staff were hard working even under the heavy load of people, and just a great experience. Can’t wait to come back again soon, maybe for month three 😋
