Dinner at Sabrosso

Espresso has never had Mexican before so tonight she can finally make a decision if she likes it or not.

From the owners of Cafe 107, they decided to branch out and go full Mexican next door with tequila, tacos, and the everything in between. When we arrived we were greeted to the bright layout of yellow and red, and a menu filled with so many choices… good thing we came hungry.

Menu

What we had:

- Drinks:

Starting us off were the Strawberry Margarita, and the Mexican Iced Tea.
Potent and flavorful could easily sum off these two.
The iced tea didn’t actually contain tea but the combination of the Corona and tequila inside was a strong mix . The margarita didn’t last long on the table so I assume the fruity and salty mix was a big hit with Espresso 😋.

- Food

Since we came out to Mexican we may as well start with the original, Tacos. We had the slow cooked pork, shredded beef, and smoky chicken varieties to start us off… and pretty nice selection. The shells were a little fragile and stiff but the fillings inside were really good. I think the overall favorite was the smoky chicken paired with avo and chipotle mayo is was a real treat.

Next was the Smoky Chicken Quesadillas filled with chicken pieces, onions, capsicum, pineapple, guacamole and cheese, again with sides of salad and rice. Super cheesy, light tortilla, and just delicious … I’m glad there were three on the plate, but I could easily eat more 😂

Last up was the Slow Cooked Beef Chimichangas. Filled with slow cooked beef, cheese and beans, deep fried then served with rice, salsa, salad and sour cream. This thing was massive, and split in two… just loaded with beans and meat. I would just add more cheese to it, because cheese is happiness.

- Dessert (and drink)

So I can’t end a meal without dessert.
I don’t want to get arrested or anything, I’m pretty sure it’s illegal to have a meal without dessert (or it should be lol)

Espresso went with her signature Espresso Martini, bold and smooth with so much punch like the rest of the drinks. Me… I went with the Churros dusted with cinnamon sugar, accompanied with dipping chocolate and whipped cream, because I am a simple man who loves delicious simple desserts.

Conclusion:

Nice selection of food to pick from, and very well priced.
Staff are friendly and polite, very welcoming.
Can easily come back to try the things we couldn't fit in this time 😋.
