Lunch at Hato Gyoza and Grill

Japanese lane-way in the heart of Brisbane City.
I have been eyeing this place for quite some time… it’s about time to try it out 🔥.

Menu:

Food:

First off, I had to try the sizzling steak I love charred corn and spaghetti so it sounded like an incredible combination.
Steak was cooked very well to a medium and I settled for pepper sauce to pour all over it, pretty great.
I wish I could sub the salad for karaage chicken but a little bit of health is good for me 😋.

Next up was the Crab Croquettes.
Crispy outside, followed by a flavorful and creamy inside.
Really enjoyed this and next time I want to try the other varieties.

So I may have been here a few times prior and tried some of their other dishes.
At lunch time they do a $20 special which changes, but this time I went it consisted of sliced pork belly, rice, salad, spring rolls, pipis, and more goodness. Really nice value for a CBD lunch.

Also the tempura here is really light and super crunchy, its a refreshing change from a lot of other places that offer tempura items on their menu 😊.

Summary

Nice tucked away spot off the busy Elizabeth Street in the city.
They have a clear kitchen window so you can watch them cook and a sitting so you can sit and enjoy.
Food hasn’t let me down and I’m slowly crossing off the items I want to try from here.
