A Night at the Hilton

A Night at the Hilton

I have to make a confession... this is my first time staying at a hotel as being a food blogger, and if I'm to be honest (which I will always be).. I LOVED IT!

When I first opened the door to my room <3

I then dropped off my bag, set up my tripod (for the long exposure shots to come ;) ) .. and preparred for the feast of the evening. One thing was certain, getting out of this comfy bed was going to be a massive challange lol.

On to the main event: The Night Noodle Market Tasting (My Top 3 ;) )

and then.. On to the main dinner at the Hiltons own Vintage Bar + Grill

Where to begin.. the biggest surprise for me was with the Kangaroo Tataki. Simply beautiful and was just incredible. Loved the flavors and textures, and for me it just worked. And of course scallops are always a great treat for dinner lol.

For the main, I went with the chefs pick of the 300g dry aged sirloin on the bone, grass fed from Gippsland, Victoria. It had a nice bite, without being overly chewy and the bernaise sauce accompanied it really nice. I really love the photo of Susie holding it :P

Needless to say, everyone slept very well that night.

... and like all good things, it had to come to an end ..

... and then .. we hit the Breakfast Buffet :)

What a wonderful staycation, I can hope for another one soon :)
I highly recommend the Hilton. It may be older, but it has an incredible interior, lovely rooms, great dining, and wonderful staff.
