Arlettes Kitchen
Arlette's Kitchen:
This one time I decided to go on the other side of the train station, and what I found was paradise. A menu of traditional French-Vietnamese that will satisfy your stomachs desires. :)
Menu:
Yeah, after reading this menu I knew I had to come here again... thankfully I came with another so I could try out more food in this first journey :).
Really loved the sound of the pork belly (and had some serious cravings the other night...), also duck liver pate on a baguette sounds perfect to me. But what we may have ordered a little more.
The atmosphere of this place was amazing.
It is a beautiful open area. Nice, relaxed, and made for people to stay and enjoy their time in good company ... Rather than have a time frame to keep to, I love it.
The food was quality.
That pork belly, around 300g in size... tender, sweet, and crackling with a satisfying bite.
But I have a weakness for quail, the meat had a sweet, slightly rich flavor. And I really just love the little legs on it.
As an added bonus they also had a delicious special on for the day, Mountain Goat Curry. It was a glorious day but of eating, but of course there was always room for dessert.
A perfect way of ending the experience.
Light and refreshing, the lime curd really hit the spot. I really enjoyed how everything worked together. And if you're very skilled, you can even use chopsticks to eat this ( as I was proven wrong :P )
Amazing service, and I can't wait to come back. Especially for the freshly baked cookies :)
