Dinner at Soapbox Beer
Iβm not usually one for beer, but when you create some unique food using it I am more than willing to try it out.
Just off the main road in Fortitude Valley, it has a nice relaxed environment to catch with mates over beers or a nice dinner for two.
Let go!

Beer
Of course there must be beer lol.
They create a great range of beers that are brewed in small batches by hand to achieve great quality beer,
My pick of the bunch would have to be their brekky beer.
A light beer, with coffee aroma and taste⦠it was magical.
Food
To accompany the beer we had fries π seasoned with chicken salt β₯οΈ and beer onion gravy. Love this idea, also gravy with chips all the way π.
For food we started with pork belly bites w. pickled daikon and honey mustard sauce. Super crispy, but so tender inside π. And we had saikoro steak w. Julienne apples and beer mustard. Omg, such a nice piece of meat to slice. The beer mustard was sweet and was nice even with the chips.
For the main, had to have the steak. of 250 grams of Wagyu 9+, cooked to a perfect rare served with mashed potato (the best side), mushrooms, and porter onion gravy. Yeah more delicious gravy to devour π. But saved enough room for dessert, oh what a treat we were in for β₯οΈ.
Dessert... Warm, moist, fudgy beer brownie, with a drizzle of hops salted caramel and topped with ice cream. This didn't last long, even after all the food we had π. Definitely should've ordered two.
I love all these new venues popping up in Brisbane, but this one has a bit of a twist and a really nice vibe inside. Definitely worth a visit.
