Lunch at Papparich Coorparoo
Pappa Rich just opened its latest store in Coorparoo, with an added bonus of Pafu (apple turnover like, filled with custard and fruit... its incredible) being next door. It's a challenge to not roll out.
We started off with insanely crispy Chicken Skin, to their signature Quail, then Bread with Butter & Kaya, and washed down with some of their large selection of drinks. The quail was super flavorful and pretty adorable. The sandwich was crispy but sweet on the inside with nice wedges of butter to accompany the kaya. We were off to a good start π€€
For the drinks we had the Kopi Cham, think coffee meet milo π, Lemon Ice Tea, and a Pear Cider.
For mains we started with Pappa Wat Tan Hor - thick flat rice noodles with egg gravy, prawns, fish cake, chicken slices, choy sum and fried shallots. This silky egg-based sauce hits all the right notes <3
Roti Canai w Beef Rendang - Roti Canai with a serve of beef rendang, with dhal and sambal for dipping.
I do love a good roti, but this one come packing with a nice hit of heat thanks to that sambal and tender juicy beef rendang
And of course dessert we had Caramel Pudding (along with some amazing Pafus, from next doorβ¦ more on that soon π). Sweet, smooth and rich. And just right right amount of size to fill in the left over space in my stomach after all that food.
Pafu
Menu
Of course we went for both :)
Both filled with delicious creamy custard , but with different fruits inside (real fruit).
I really enjoyed the apple chunks, but the strawberry was quite tasty.
The puff pastry was so flaky and satisfying, and they sell it in combo with coffeeβ¦. this could be a deadly combo for me lol
Summary
So much food, but we walked out with happy stomachs lol.
The staff was super friendly and helpful.
We really love how Coorparoo Square is developing, itβs turning to quite the food spot.
Where to next time β¦
