Lunch at The Garden Room in Roma Street Parklands

The first thing you’ll notice is just how perfect this venue is for Roma Street Parklands.
Covered in greenery and bright fresh colours, giving off a warm vibe to blend in with the nature surrounds… it’s the perfect compliment for the area.
You really feel a welcoming and peaceful feeling when you enter.
It’s located close to the city however being inside gives you a nice sense of isolation from the crowded CBD.
Anyways, I’m a bit hungry let’s look at this menu.

My brain immediately jumps between fish & chips or a burger lol, nothing changes with me.
I end up going the healthier (in my head anyway 😅) option, the beef burger.
I could’ve just picked both options, but I needed to save room for the rest of my day.
What I Ordered:
Iced Long Black
It always starts with coffee.
Breakfast, lunch, or dinner coffee is always the perfect comlpement.
Was this possible coffee number 2, 3, or 4 and it was only mid-day?
Doesn’t matter, because coffee doesn’t judge you. 😂
Great size and body of coffee to accompany the burger that was following it.
Garden Room Classic Beef Burger
[crisp lettuce, beef, tomato, cheddar cheese, aioli, caramelised onions, and chips]
I feel like it has been a solid 3 days since my last burger, and that feels like a life time.
Great structure in the buns to keep the moist juices contained within.
Caramelised onions are a godsend, but also the amount of pickles contained in this burger is incredible.
There were about 6 pickle slices in total and they were held in a layer of melted cheddar cheese, it was a great time to be alive. 😋
Beef was juicy and tender, and even though I’m not the biggest fan of tomato (usually I pick it off because it’s essentially salad aka evil) but the umami flavors are always a warm welcome.

Also at the moment they have a selection of Mother’s Day picnic hampers you can enjoy relaxing in one of the many areas in Roma Street Parklands.
Personally the deluxe brunch is really speaking to me lol, those glorious waffles ❤️

Summary:
Even with the current situation going on at the moment there is still plenty to enjoy from this beautiful venue.
The menu offers a selection of comfort food, and they also offer a wide range of pre-made bites or freshly made meals for all day consuming.
Staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome.
The burger and coffee were enjoyable, and filling.
I just can’t wait to come back and dine in this great spot.
