New Venue - Industry Bean Newstead
Finally, one of Melbourne’s top Coffee and Breakfast Cafe arrives in Brisbane.
Just looking at the venue from the outside is amazing, I love the use of space… so much potential.
Also, on some days they’re open late until 10pm #CatchUpBrisbane
Menu:
Drinks: aka, all the coffee
Caramel IB Bubble Cup, combining cold drip coffee and our house-made consoy (a special blend of condensed milk and soy milk) with coffee-soaked tapioca pearls.
Espresso / deconstructed long black - made using their single origin, I love the attention to their coffee and how they recommend each blend.
Yuzu Cascara Spritz - Cascara is the berry of the coffee plant, which is usually dried for the use of a cherry tea. They took it a little further and made a Cascara cold brew, which is added to a house made yuzu syrup for a delightfully refreshing drink.
Cold Brew - single origins that roasted for filter in house, rotating through a new coffee every 4-6 weeks. I love that they don’t pasteurize, inject Nitrogen or use preservatives.
Food:
ESPRESSO GLAZED BEEF RIB
Potato foam, truffle sphere, green pea puree and blueberry reduction
PORCINI EGG
Kohlrabi nest, porcini dusted egg, roast mushroom duxelle, artichoke hash, wild greens, seared mushrooms, spinach coral, cauliflower charcoal puree and truffle oil
Summary
Beautiful new spot in Newstead.
I love how they pretty much brought Melbourne vibes with them.
Wide open seating areas, large roastery, and just so much space..
There were some rough moments over opening weekend, but that’s expected,
I look forward to coming back soon to give it another shot, especially for dinner.
I like that Brisbane is getting new variety to the breakfast scene, it’s the push we need.
