Dinner at The Florist
After a long day in the office (for my girlfriend, anyway) we decided to take ourselves out to a little inner-city dining treat. We were having a craving for a nice steak, and the T-bone on the menu sounded very promising 😊.
The Drinks:
List:
ºBerry Mule
ºBotanical Crush
ºBahamas Lychee.
Large, and flavorful… that’s how I would describe them.
In terms of cocktail size, these were massive and great value. Personally, having a sweet tooth I favored the Berry Mule 😊
THE MENU
ENTREES:
LAMB KOFTA’S
MINT & LIME YOGURT
What a treat... Conveniently served on skewers, these soft meaty morsels were insanely enjoyable. Each one packed with flavor, and the yogurt was an added bonus.
CRISPY FRIED CHICKEN
TAHINI MAYO | SPROUT SALAD | TOASTED SESAME SEEDS
Fried chicken - end game. I didn't think I would ever eat fried chicken wrapped in a lettuce leaf but... This was a portable vessel to my stomach that I could get used to doing daily. The tahini mayo really worked with with this succulent & crispy bird... I want another. So glad we got this 👌.
MAINS:
T BONE STEAK [TO SHARE]
BEARNAISE SAUCE | DUCK FAT POTATOES | SEASONAL VEG
Now this... Was a beauty to behold. Amazing color and texture... Just a pleasure to devour. We finally found a rare steak that wasn't overly chewy, and instead was delicious to feast upon.
The potatoes on the side 👌. Nice skin, slightly salted and just tasty. Simple but welcome add-on 😊.
DESSERT:
CHOCOLATE BROWNIE
VANILLA BEAN ICE CREAM | CHOCOLATE GANACHE
Haha my kind of dessert. Sweet, with more sweet. Super moist on the inside and the chocolate sauce was really enjoyable. I still regret not getting two desserts, but by this time our stomachs said no 😂.
CONCLUSION:
Really had a lovely evening out with my girlfriend. Beautiful ambiance and friendly staff who made the evening really enjoyable. That steak, was possibly one of the best rare steaks we had for a while.
