Dinner at Golden Lane
Finally had some proper Yum Cha in Brisbane and finally had a proper sit down with some like minded bloggers.
First thing…
That menu, wow did it change visually.
I love the new look, and that they made it more simplified 😊

First, lets talk about the duck. That beautiful Peking Duck.
It arrives to your table… they slice it… and then plate it for you.
Skin super crispy and easily can take down several of these pancakes 🤤.
We also had during our evening:
✔️ Sweet and Sour Pork
✔️ Peking Pork
✔️ Deep Fried Sole,
✔️ Fish Fillets in Chilli Oil
✔️ Century Egg and Salty Egg dish with Spinach cooked in broth soup
✔️ Black pepper beef with mushrooms and assorted veggies
Whilst the pork dishes looked very similar they did have distinct flavor differences. The Peking Pork was more liked with its lighter and thinner batter, as well as a slightly leaner meat. The group also enjoyed the added flavour that the pineapples provided to the Peking Pork dish.
The sole fish was insanely crispy and enjoyable, really enjoyed the strong flavor in the batter.
The fish fillets were tasty, just took a little skill to get it without too much oil 😊.
Really flaky and enjoyable.
The soup dish complemented each other nice with the Century Egg and Salted Egg, the soup wasn’t too overpowering just a nice balance of flavor.
Lastly,the black peper steak dish definitely one of the favourites of the night. The taste of beef, was delicious with the mushroom and it absorbed the sauce in like a sponge. Definitely need to go back again.

Sesame Paste Dessert and a mix of osmanthus and coconut jelly. The jelly had good flavour and texture. So fresh and delicious. Never had the paste before but it was a nice surprise.
Summary
Very spacious and relaxed.
Definitely see why there are weddings here as well.
Service was fast and the food was great.
There is a bit of Chinese writing on the special signs, but they’ll tell you what it is 😂.
