The Walnut Restaurant

The Walnut Restaurant

Who can say no the dining in luxury at half the cost... definitely not me :P
So when First Table asked for me to try out their booking system I jumped on it, looked for a place I've never been before and ate heaps... while leaving my wallet a little more full :)

Here we go!

So first up we had to get a little of everything so what better way, than the Seafood plate <3.

natural oysters, red bush lime caviar; Jamon-wrapped scallops, cauliflower espuma, salsa verde; salt and pepper calamari, lime aioli

Then to really get a taste of the venue, we had to get some amazing dishes.
We picked the The Royal 220g Wagyu porterhouse, Fraser Isle spanner crab spaghettini, and the Corn-fed chicken ballotine. Added bonus the porterhouse came with a cheese souffle, super excited for this :).

The steak was on point, and cooked to medium rare as ordered. Cheese souffle was incredible, better than the entree we had prior. The spaghetti was full of flavor, the spanner crab was not lacking whatsoever. Lastly the Chicken was moist and delicious, simply a dish with premium ingredients.

That cheese souffle ;)

And of course, couldn't leave without having a dessert.
It was a tough choice... but the Bombe Alaska was the victor.

joconde sponge, vanilla bean ice cream, berry ragout, Italian meringue, white rum

... And then we rolled home :P

I love the First Table system, nice perks of half off your bill. And if you sign up with my code you get $5 off your booking :) .
