Breakfast at Yolk
One of Gasworks newer venues (kinda).
They are situated opposite of the Standard Market Company and one of my favourite burger joints in Gasworks.
I remember when they first opened many months ago, the food was great.
It honestly is sadness when you visit a venue when they first open and the food is AMAZING!!! But when you return a few months later….and it tastes different 😔 and not in a good way….that’s just pure sadness…. so I was so glad to find that even now, months later - it still tastes great. 😊

So! When our most recent venture to Yolk, which was only 1 week ago really 😂. We had the Y.F.C. 😂. Such a cute name! It came with; a chicken burger, chicken tenders with some slaw, 1 orange juice and 2 sides (mashed potato and chips yum!). It was a pretty good snack for 2 people who weren’t too hungry! Plus you can add a couple of sides if it wasn’t enough. We grabbed an extra side of haloumi cheese (of course 😊) and another orange juice.
What I love about Yolk, is that they make their own orange juice - it really guarantees the freshness of the juice. I previously also had their coffees before as well, it actually wasn’t too bad! Especially when everyone knows how much I love my coffee 😂.
I was snacking on the chicken tenders - very tender by the way 😂 and quite enjoying my food. I really noticed the number of pets at Gasworks. What I really like about Gasworks is how very dog friendly the place is. I may not have or want to own a dog, but I do find those little puppies adorable. Especially Miss Y - who spotted a corgi and was totally enchanted…. It was adorable watching the little corgi having what looked like a dog showdown with another dog which was much bigger than them. 😂
Life is good when delightful animals brighten up your day. 😊

PS: Gasworks is a busy place, but having busy people bringing their animals with them makes it even better creating a fun ambience. 😊
Food was delicious as expected 🤤 and service was good as always.
PPS: What I like about Yolk is the variety of burgers they offer. Pricing is quite good and the portion size are quite generous. All in all the few experiences have been quite enjoyable.
